Community supporters attended an immersive tour of FSJ Hospital, including the Imaging, ICU, Laboratory, and Community Cancer Centre, providing a deeper understanding of the care and tasks healthcare professions undertake daily.
With funding from the FSJ Hospital Foundation’s Bluey Day campaign the Community Cancer Centre is receiving new patient chairs. These chairs provide comfort for long treatment times and include functions that support care in case of emergency.
FSJ Hospital is home to the only Microbiology lab in the Northeast Region. The FSJ Hospital Foundation has purchased lab equipment that reduced the need to send samples away to larger cities and shortened the time to get results from blood, tissue and other samples.
Bone Density Scanner purchase in 2024 to replace the outdated scanner, improves patient diagnosis with faster scans and improved image quality.
